چکیده

The inhibition effect of calcined lime (CaO) and limestone (CaCO3) on the formation dioxins during iron ore co-sintering with fly ash was investigated in a sinter pot present work. Experimental results indicated that international total toxicity equivalent concentration decreased from 1.4335 to 0.2922, 0.1048, 0.4562, 0.3098 ng I-TEQ Nm−3 under four different experimental conditions. It can be concluded 5 wt.% 3 is optimal addition reduce flue gas, 92.70% efficiency. Effects dioxin distribution also analyzed. proportion low-chlorinated found increase, while high-chlorinated decreased, except for octachlorianted dibenzo-p-dioxins (OCDD). reason consumption HCl not only inhibits de novo synthesis, but dramatically promotes condensation dechlorination produce more tetrachlorianted through precursors. Finally, condensation, dichlorination, mechanisms municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) are proposed.

Phosphorus recovery from municipal solid waste incineration fly ash.

The potential of phosphorus (P) recycling from municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) residue is investigated. Vast and ever increasing amounts of incineration residues are produced worldwide; these are an environmental burden, but also a resource, as they are a major sink for the material flows of society. Due to strict environmental regulations, in combination with decreasing landfilling s...

Environmental Management of Fly Ash Produced from the Incineration of Municipal Solid Waste

Incineration is a widely used and well established technology for the municipal solid waste (MSW) management. Modern MSW incineration plants are equipped with improved air pollution control (APC) systems, which reduce pollutants well below the established limits. The environmental concern has, thus, moved from the air emissions to the solid residues generated from the APC systems of the inciner...

Carbonation of Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Fly Ash and the Impact on Metal Mobility

Fly ash from municipal solid waste incineration ~MSWI! is considered as hazardous waste that calls for a robust, reliable, and reasonable treatment technique. This investigation aims to assess the impact of CO2 partial pressure, water addition, time, and temperature on the stabilization of MSWI fly ash with particular emphasis on Pb, Zn, Cd, and Cr. Carbonation and element mobility were studied...

Speciation of copper in the incineration fly ash of a municipal solid waste.

The speciation of copper and zinc in the incineration fly ash of a municipal solid waste in Taiwan was investigated in the present work. By the least-squares fitted X-ray absorption near edge structural (XANES) spectroscopy, we found that CuCO3, CuOH2, and CuO (fractions of 0.09, 0.39 and 0.51, respectively) were the main copper species in the fly ash. Quantitative analysis of the extended X-ra...

Distribution of Chloride in Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Bottom Ash

Chloride content is a critical problem for the reuse of incineration bottom ash as raw material in cement. The effect of dechlorination procedure largely depends on the existence form of the chlorides. However, limited information about the distribution and identity of chlorides in bottom ash can be obtained by bulk analysis methods. In this paper, the investigation towards a more comprehensive...
